The Pullman Brisbane Airport is a modern, upscale hotel located right at Brisbane Airport, making it especially convenient for early flights or layovers. It’s directly connected within walking distance to the domestic terminal precinct and a short transfer from the international airport.

I don’t normally review hotels, as the places I stay are often not worth reviewing (hahaha). However, the Pullman Brisbane Airport was exceptional. Not only is it within walking distance of the airport, but it also offers a complimentary shuttle bus to the nearby Skygate precinct and DFO Brisbane, making it incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, or simply passing the time before a flight.
Opened in 2015, the 10-storey hotel forms part of a $150 million accommodation precinct. The development includes the 5-star Pullman, the 3.5-star Ibis hotels, both Accor properties, and the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre, which connects and complements both hotels. The room feels spacious, tidy, and minimalist, featuring dark tones throughout, complemented by a subtle pop of colour from the bed runner that adds warmth and visual interest.
The bed feels like sleeping on a cloud, offering exceptional comfort throughout the night. A pillow menu is available for customisation, though I found the four generously filled pillows already provided on the bed more than sufficient for a restful sleep. There’s also a small table and chair for working, ideal for charging my laptop, with additional charging ports conveniently located beside the bed. In fact, there’s an abundance of outlets throughout the room, something many of us rely on in today’s tech dependent world.
Other than the bed, I found myself spending most of my time relaxing on the super comfortable couch. My only complaint about the seating area is the small coffee table, which could be challenging for two people trying to eat dinner.
The room had more than just the usual kettle with packets of tea and instant coffee. It also came with a coffee pod machine and a selection of coffee pods. Now, full disclosure, I don’t drink coffee, so I can’t tell you whether they were any good! But if you’re a coffee lover, it’s a nice touch that’s a step above the standard hotel setup.
The bathroom is spacious and clean. It features modern fixtures, bright lighting, fresh towels, excellent ventilation, creating a comfortable atmosphere.
I appreciate the design choice of separating the toilet with its own door from the shower, allowing both to be used simultaneously (if you’re staying with someone) while also keeping any unpleasant odours contained and away from the main bathroom space.
Later in the evening, I headed to the restaurant and bar, Apron, for a drink and a light snack, having already eaten earlier. The space is inviting, with a dining area at the rear and a welcoming bar at the front where I settled in comfortably.
I order a delightful glass of De Beaurepaire ‘La Comtese’ Chardonnay which hails from Rylestone, New South Wales. This fesh Chardonnay has lively acidity, is clean and quite sophisticated. While browsing the menu, I noticed it differed from the dining menu app, which caught me off guard. There were a few different snack options available, and one in particular caught my attention and I had to try it…
…Prawn toast! The presentation wasn’t what I expected at all. I’d been picturing the old-school version—minced prawns on fried white bread, reminiscent of an ’80s Chinese takeaway. I know prawn toast has made a bit of a comeback in recent years, and these were beautifully presented!
The fried toast was thick, warm, and not overly oily. The prawn was coated and fried, then smothered in a mildly spiced sweet chilli mayo, finished with a sprinkle of black and white sesame seeds, salmon roe and chives. Each piece was absolutely divine.
The hotel itself was modern, comfortable, and well-appointed, with friendly staff who made the stay even more enjoyable. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and high quality airport hotel in Brisbane.
