Trip Notes: Melbourne to Sydney on QANTAS Airways QF480 and the special meals.

After a wonderful weekend in Melbourne, it was time to head back to Sydney on Qantas flight QF480, a dinner flight operated by an Airbus A330-200. Upon boarding I noticed there was a rather large contingent of school kids who had been in Melbourne competing in a Jewish Inter-Schools sports competition. After settling into my exit row bulkhead seat, the crew made the announcement that as we had a quick flying time today of 54 minutes, they needed to rush through the service quickly which included the delivery of 88 special meals (I’m guessing Kosher meals…)  Those that were having the special meals were advised they were all the same and to not worry if it had someone else’s name on it. My non-special meal was a cold chicken and potato salad, which still tasted special to me! The crew managed to serve all passengers on board this quick full flight and even managed to do a drinks run which I enjoyed a Mad Fish Sauvignon Blanc. Well done to the crew on this quick flight!

  1. Well done! That’s the ideal flight getting a meal and it being fast too! My favourite meal is the Hindu meal 😀
